This project comprises the complete redesign of an 1-1/2 acre, 6,000
sq.ft., 1940s Santa Barbara residence and grounds, portions of which are
attributed to George Washington Smith. The project includes the
reworking of the property’s exterior and interior architectural sequence
and spaces. The site was completely re-landscaped and most areas of the
house were taken down to the studs. Almost all of the finishes and
plantings are new, including beams, stenciling, fireplace surrounds,
doors, windows, floors and vaulted ceilings. The work of George
Washington Smith guided the current design, from the detailing to the
color palette and furnishings. Cost are withheld at the Owner’s request.
